A Non-Surgical Approach to Sports Medicine

Dr. Rik Kashyap is joining the team at Anderson Sports Medicine! He is a Sports Medicine Physician, specializing in the non-surgical management of a variety of musculoskeletal and sports-related issues in individuals aged twelve and older. His practice provides musculoskeletal injection therapies, orthobiologic treatments such as platelet rich plasma (PRP), stem cell, concussion management, sports physicals and non-surgical care for various musculoskeletal issues.

As a fellow at Midwest Orthopedics, he served as a team physician for DePaul University (NCAA Division I) and worked with several professional and semi-professional sports teams including the Chicago Bulls (NBA), Chicago Fire (MLS), Chicago White Sox (MLB), Chicago Steel (USHL), and Athletes Unlimited Softball. Dr. Kashyap worked with performing arts athletes at the Joffrey Ballet and has covered mass events, having volunteered in the medical tents at the Chicago Marathon several times. After successful completion of his fellowship, he spent two years as an Assistant Professor of Sports Medicine at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. During his tenure, he served as a team physician for Manhattan College Athletics and covered several Ivy League football and basketball games with Columbia University Athletics.

Dr. Kashyap is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.
